We collect nothing.

The short version: Uphill is built to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

Nothing you type into The Void. Ever. It’s not saved to the device, iCloud, or any server - it’s designed to be unrecoverable the moment you tap “Scream.”

Your tasks, task weights, completion status, and settings, stored locally on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, synced across your own devices via CloudKit. This data belongs to your iCloud account, not to us - we don’t have a server that can read it.

Your premium purchase status, verified through Apple’s StoreKit. We don’t process payments ourselves.

If you pair with an accountability partner (Uphill Buddy): an anonymous, randomly generated pairing code and your daily task completion count - just a number - stored on Apple’s iCloud servers. No names, emails, or identifying information.

What we don’t collect

No account creation, no email address, no login. No advertising identifiers. No third-party analytics SDKs.

Third parties

Apple (App Store purchases, CloudKit sync) - governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

Children’s privacy

Uphill is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update the date at the top of this page if anything changes. We won’t quietly change what this page says without changing what the app does first.
