Introduction
PettyPoints ("the App") is developed and operated by aaic.. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.
What Data Is Collected
- Household data: nickname, player names, invite code, player slot, creation date
- Rules: names, point values, emoji assignments, pack associations
- Crime logs: timestamps, rule associations, notes, player assignments, dispute status
- Disputes: reason text, status, jury vote status, expiration timestamps
- Achievements: unlock status and dates
- Banking: banked amounts and redemption history
- Trial data: trial start date per player
- Theme preference: stored locally on device
- Push token: your device's notification token, stored in your household record so your partner's device can notify you
How Data Is Stored
All household data is stored in Apple's CloudKit infrastructure under the user's Apple ID. aaic. does not operate database servers and cannot access individual user records. Photos attached to crime logs are stored locally in the App's Documents directory and are never uploaded to any server.
AI Roast Feature
When triggered, the App sends rule names, point values, and the losing player's first name to an AI model via a Cloudflare Workers proxy. No Apple ID, email, device identifier, or other personally identifying information is included. The proxy does not store prompts or responses.
Jury Voting Feature
Jury invite links contain the crime description, dispute reason, optional note, and an opaque household identifier. Juror votes and anonymous tokens are stored in CloudKit's public database. No juror name, email, or identifying information is collected.
Push Notifications
The App uses Apple Push Notification service (APNs) to alert you when your partner files a crime, raises a dispute, or a jury verdict is reached. Your device's push token is stored in your household's CloudKit record so your partner's device can send these alerts, and is relayed to Apple through a Cloudflare Workers proxy that stores nothing. aaic. operates no database that retains push tokens. You can disable notifications anytime in Settings.
Analytics
The App uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to collect anonymous usage data - such as how often features are used and when errors happen. This contains no names, no content you create, and no personally identifying information; identifiers are anonymised on your device before anything is sent. We use it only to fix bugs and improve the App. No advertising networks or tracking pixels are used, and your activity is never tracked across other apps or websites.
This is on by default. You can turn it off anytime in Settings → Privacy → "Share anonymous usage data."
What Data Is NOT Collected
The App does not collect email addresses, phone numbers, location data, contacts, browsing history, advertising identifiers, or data from other apps.
Data Sharing
aaic. does not sell, rent, or share user data. Data is shared only between household members via CloudKit sync, with jurors via invite links (at the user's discretion), and with the AI model provider for roast generation.
Data Deletion
Users can delete their household from within the App. Full data deletion can be requested at support@aaic.io.
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 17. Contact support@aaic.io for data removal requests.
Changes
aaic. may update this policy. The "Last Updated" date will reflect changes.
